New Prior Authorization Approval Notice Process

Starting June 12, 2020, Ambetter from Superior HealthPlan will mail prior authorization approval letters to Ambetter members when a service/procedure ordered by their doctor has been approved. The letter will include the following information:

• Authorization (approval) number
• Date(s) of service
• A short description of the service/procedure
• Name of the provider that will perform the service/procedure (servicing provider)
• Number of units/visits authorized

If you receive an approval letter and have questions, please contact the doctor who ordered the service/procedure or the servicing provider listed on your letter. You can also call Ambetter Member Services at 1-877-687-1196 (Relay Texas/TTY 1-800-735-2989).
