Ambetter Continues to Provide High Quality Product Offerings

As you may already be aware, Bright Health Group (BHG) has elected to exit the Marketplace in all states where they currently participate, including Tennessee As the nation’s #1 Marketplace insurer, Ambetter remains committed to the Marketplace and will continue to offer plans in Tennessee. Ambetter aims to provide stability to members through our product offerings, having consistently offered plans since 2014.

If current Bright Health members shop for new plans in Tennessee, they may choose Ambetter. Alternatively, if they have previously chosen auto-renewal they may be assigned to an Ambetter plan. As new members join Ambetter we want to ensure that both their experience and yours is smooth.

In order to support continuity of care, Ambetter from Ambetter of Tennessee is requesting documentation from Tennessee]’s DOI and CMS of past PCPs for Bright Health members who chose or are assigned to an Ambetter plan. We also want you to be aware that former Bright Health members who choose or are assigned to an Ambetter plan may be subject to referral requirements that differ from those of their Bright Health plan. We will communicate such requirements extensively to our new members, but we hope that you will also take care to understand applicable requirements prior to referring Ambetter members to specialist providers.
